While mankind’s story of evolution had begun with an apple, my journey of growth started with a mango - its contours which I then found impossible to navigate. As a 3 year old, my biggest challenge was to color ‘within the lines’ and get 'the colors right'.

The black outline would shout, “Dare to explore what lies beyond me?" The oily, magenta temptress said, “Think! what other color could this mango be?”

The wise words of my childhood idol, Dora the explorer, ‘Hay Más para explorer’ (There’s more to explore!) resonated in my mind. So, I colored half the mango in yellow with shaded viridian leaves. The other half - swirls of neon and black- was what I called my magic mango. The balancing of two visions and co-existence of concepts filled my heart with hope.

Channelizing experiences like these into my artistic routine led to the evolution of a mesmerizing body of work some of which are included here.
